About

About BIBLE.REPUBLICAN

A speaking Bible for the American reader — accurate Scripture, read aloud, with a Scripture companion that answers your questions about the Word and shows you the verses it stands on.

Where the text comes from

Chapters are fetched from the free, key-less bible-api.com service in the King James Version, American Standard Version and World English Bible — all public domain. The full-text search index is a public-domain KJV source. Nothing is typed by hand.

How the voice works

Reading aloud and voice questions use the free speech engine already built into your browser — no third-party voice service and no key. If your browser has no speech recognition, the text box always works.

How answers are grounded

The companion writes a short pastoral answer and names the verses it is drawing on. This app then fetches those verses from the Bible source and shows them exactly as written, so you can read the Word itself.

Statement of Faith

The Scriptures

We hold the Bible to be the inspired, infallible Word of God — the final authority for faith and conduct. That is why this app never rewrites it: every verse is served verbatim from public-domain sources.

One God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit

We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons, and in Jesus Christ — His incarnation, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection and promised return.

Salvation by grace through faith

We believe salvation is the free gift of God received by faith in Jesus Christ alone, and that every believer is called to love God and neighbour.

Liberty of conscience

This is a place to read and study Scripture together. It is not a church, a denomination or a political platform, and it does not speak for any of them.

A word of honesty

BIBLE.REPUBLICAN is a Scripture study aid. It is not a pastor, a church, or a substitute for pastoral counsel. The written answers are produced by an AI model and can be incomplete or mistaken — always read the verses shown alongside them, and search the Scriptures for yourself. For matters of crisis, abuse, self-harm, health, law or finances, please speak with a trusted pastor or a qualified professional.
